Setup and Assembly

While it is possible to set up your Tempo Tent on your own, we strongly recommend having two people for a safer and smoother assembly process.

Usage and Warranty

Tempo Tents are designed for temporary, short-term use. Any damages caused by weather conditions, including wind, rain, or snow, are not covered under the warranty.

Securing Your Tent

To keep your Tempo Tent stable, especially in windy conditions, always use tie-downs, stakes, weight bags, or other specially designed weights. These accessories can be purchased from our website. For best results, secure the rope straps to the corners of the tent frame rather than the top.

Maintenance and Storage

For optimal protection and durability, remove the tent top after each use and store it in the provided carry bag. If that’s not possible, ensure the tent is stored upright using a protective cover or bag.

What to Avoid:
  • Dragging the Tent: Avoid dragging the tent during setup or takedown to prevent damage.
  • Uneven Ground: Do not set up the tent on steep or uneven surfaces.
  • Heavy Rain: In the case of heavy rain, closely monitor the tent and take it down if water accumulation occurs.
  • Cleaning Agents: Never use harsh chemicals, abrasives, or bleach when cleaning your tent.
  • Moisture: Ensure the tent is completely dry before storing it to prevent mildew and rust.
Cleaning Instructions

A mixture of mild soap and water is recommended for cleaning. Clean the canopy while it's still attached but do not extend the legs. A pressure washer set to a low setting with a wide spray can also be used for deeper cleaning.

Post-Use Inspection

After each use, inspect all bolts and screws to ensure they are tight and in good condition. Replace any bent or damaged parts immediately to maintain the tent's integrity.

Additional Components
Screws

Regularly check all screws using an Allen wrench or screwdriver to ensure they are secure, but not overly tight. Missing truss bar screws should be replaced immediately to prevent undue pressure on the frame.

Legs

When retracting or extending the tent’s legs, ensure that the inner and outer leg sections are clean and free from obstructions like tape, rope, or cable ties, which can cause the legs to jam.

Truss Bars

Truss bars are essential for the structural integrity of your tent. If any truss bar is damaged or broken, refrain from using the tent until it is repaired. Under normal weather conditions, properly handled truss bars should not break.

WARNING: KEEP ALL FLAME AND HEAT SOURCES AWAY FROM THIS TENT FABRIC

This tent is constructed from flame-retardant material in accordance with CPAI-84 standards. It is not fireproof. The fabric will burn if left in continuous contact with a flame source

Warning and caution

Weather conditions
  • Strong wind: In winds exceeding 30 km/h, dismantle the canvas to avoid damage to the structure or potential injury.
  • Excessive rain or snow: Tempo tents are not designed to withstand snow loads or prolonged water accumulation. Dismantle the tent in these conditions to preserve its durability.
Thunderstorms: Do not use the tent during a thunderstorm, as the metal structure could attract lightning.
Anchoring and stability
  • Mandatory anchoring systems: Be sure to use the anchors provided or appropriate weights, even in calm weather. A poorly anchored tent can tip over or blow away, causing property damage or personal injury.
  • Unstable surfaces: Do not set up the tent on loose or slippery surfaces without reinforcing the anchor points.
  • The anchoring systems supplied with your Tempo tent are designed for standard conditions. However, depending on your environment and weather conditions, these anchors may not be sufficient to ensure optimal stability. It is essential to provide anchoring solutions adapted to your situation, such as additional weights or reinforced anchors, to avoid any risk of the tent tipping over or moving. A poorly anchored tent can cause property damage or personal injury to yourself or others. Tempo Tent disclaims all liability for damage caused by improper installation or anchoring. Your safety and that of those around you depends on properly adjusted and secured anchoring.
Assembly and disassembly
  • Risk of pinching: Pay attention to joints and mechanisms during assembly and disassembly to avoid injury to fingers.
  • Recommended number of people: Two people are required for safe installation; for large sizes, more than two people may be required.
Use and accessories
  • Maximum load: Do not hang heavy or bulky objects from the structure, as this could affect the stability of the tent or damage the tubes.
  • Fire or excessive heat: Keep a safe distance between the tent and heat sources such as barbecues, open fires, or cooking equipment. Our fabrics are fire-retardant according to CPAI-84 certification, but they are not resistant to direct exposure to flames.
Care and storage
  • Wet storage: Never fold the tent when wet, as this can cause mold and damage the fabric.
  • Improper handling: Avoid pulling or forcing the structure. Handle it with care to avoid damage to the joints or frame.
Improper use
  • Permanent use: Tempo tents are temporary shelters and should not be used as a permanent solution. For extended installation, contact us for specific recommendations.
  • Modifications: Do not make any unauthorized modifications to the structure or fabric, as this may void the warranty and compromise the safety of the tent.
Liability
  • Disclaimer for negligence: Tempo cannot be held liable for damage caused by improper use, incorrect assembly, or extreme weather conditions.
  • Compliance with instructions: Please read the user manual carefully and follow all instructions to ensure a safe and optimal experience.
